Gladiators Odds: Finalists, Fan Favorites & Walsh Predictions

The stakes are high in The Gladiators with just two episodes remaining and one before the final.

In the men’s competition, Mus Dumbuya is through to the final after defeating Nathan Bland. Mus will now face off against Joe Fishburn in the final of the Men’s competition.

Among the women, Zavia managed to come out on top in the eliminator against Aneila Afsar, despite picking up an injury earlier in the semi-final. That same injury came back to bite her and forced her to withdraw, meaning Anelia will face off against Amanda Wah.

Clean Run Clinches It for Mus

Mus Dumbuya went into the eliminator with an advantage of 12 points, giving him a 6-second head start over Nathan Bland. As Nathan held the record for the fastest eliminator time of the competition so far, this should mean a close competition.

Nathan managed to start strongly and close the gap a little in the opening part, however, a stumble at the cargo net cost him precious seconds that he never managed to recover from.

Mus recorded his best and best eliminator time in the competition so far in beating Nathan.

ContestantOddsProbability
Mus Dumbuya4/660.00%
Joe Fishburn11/1047.60%

As Mus managed to beat the previous eliminator record holder, he has managed to move himself into the favourite position to win ahead of Joe, but fully expect this to be a close competition.

Zavia Wins the Battle, Aneila Wins the Spot

The early rounds were close-fought competition between Aneila and Zavia, with Anelia managing to secure a 1-second head start. With Zenia carrying a noticeable limp from the Powerball event, it was Aneila’s to lose.

Against all odds, Zavia managed to pass Aneila at the rope stage, in the end coming away with a commanding lead by the top of the cargo net. Aneila appeared to be noticeable tired, and couldn’t keep up. While she managed to close the gap through the balance beam and travelator, it wasn’t enough, and Zavia won the eliminator with her personal best time, despite the injury.

However, Zavia was forced to withdraw due to her injury, meaning Aneila went through to the final.

ContestantOddsProbability
Amanda Wah2/571.40%
Aneila Afsar2/133.30%

Amanda goes into the final the comfortable favourite following her strong display in the first semi-final, but anything can happen.

The new Gladiators for this year, Hammer and Cyclone, have not made a big impression on fans yet. Hammer trails at the bottom on just 13.5% head-to-head fan votes. Cyclone fares a bit better, moving ahead of two of the returning Gladiators, Viper and Comet.

Walshes On The Move

The new season of Breaking Dad, the travel show featuring Gladiators hosts, father-and-son duo Bradley and Barney Walsh, started airing this week on ITV. Bradley was recently announced as the host of an upcoming Sky History show Bradley Walsh: Egypt’s Cosmic Code, a passion project of his and something very different from previous roles.

What could be next on the cards for Bradley or Barney? We have analysed the possibilities and how likely they are.

New Host of The Chase?

It has been rumoured for a while that Bradley Walsh might step aside from hosting The Chase, the gameshow he has hosted since it started back in 2009, to pursue other projects. His son Barney would make a popular choice to replace him. The BBC might also look to cast one of their up-and-coming presenters, like Barney, in Strictly Come Dancing; we put the odds at 8/1 of him appearing in 2025.

Bradley looks to have his hands full for the time being, so any big moves seem unlikely if he continues to host The Chase, plus his Sky History documentary. An appearance in I’m a Celebrity could be a boost to the show. This isn’t likely at 6/1 odds; this is usually where stars looking to make a comeback go, and he doesn’t need a revival right now. Bradley could appear on The One Show as a host, and his natural charisma and humour would fit in well.
