Lord Sugar created some drama in The Apprentice by firing two candidates for the second time this season, with Melica Moshiri and Emma Street both packing their bags.
The candidates were tasked to develop their own hot sauce and pitch their concepts to industry experts. Lord Sugar decided that both teams performed badly, declaring that both lost the challenge.

Although her odds have lengthened slightly in recent weeks, Mia Collins has consistently performed well and remains the favourite to secure Lord Sugar’s investment, following praise from Lord Sugar, saying “I’m going to say that…I don’t know what if anything, you have done wrong in this task.”
Disruptive Melica Faces The Chop
In yet another dramatic boardroom showdown, Lord Sugar again fired two candidates, making it clear he was not in the mood for excuses. Both teams were declared the losers, and Melica Moshiri, the favourite to be eliminated, and Emma Street, were sent packing in the second consecutive firing of the season so far.
Team Ascendancy, led this time by Mia Collins, came up with a sauce called Umami Mami, but early on faced a problem. The sample product didn’t arrive in time for the filming of their advertisement, but they continued anyway. The result? A confusing campaign with no product in sight, which Lord Sugar slated as “pathetic”.
Industry expert, Levi Roots, was also not impressed, saying he would need “boxing gloves” to get the sauce out of the bottle.
Team Parallel, led by Amber-Rose, didn’t fare better. Their end product had a grammatical error on the label, and their advertisement, featuring prisoners using the sauce to escape from jail, was described as “embarrassing.” Levi Roots was also unimpressed with the sauce, calling it “boring.”
Lord Sugar was scathing in his criticism of both teams, telling the candidates, “Two separate teams come up with the biggest load of garbage I have ever seen. It was less Tabasco and more a bloody fiasco!”
Emma was let go first, after being criticised for failing to make an impact by Lord Sugar, a sentiment which fans largely agreed with over the course of the season. His attention then turned to Melica. Melica admitted to being “a bit disruptive”, leading to Lord Alan going with his gut and firing her.

Despite being praised for saving a previous pitch in the kids’ banking challenge, Liam Snellin failed to make an impact this time around and has seen his chances of securing investment from Lord Sugar worsen.
Max England follows at 3/1, mostly because no one can remember what he’s actually done. He’s not made any major mistakes, but he’s also not made much of an impression at all. This is a problem at this stage in the competition. As one viewer put it, he’s “literally doing nothing again.”
